The Henderson – Ames Company WWI Military Hat

Henderson – Ames Company military hat, approximate hat size is 7, the hat is in very good condition w/leather band on the inside and the markings of Henderson – Ames Company Kalamazoo, Mich., the inside hat thin cardboard rim under the leather band is split in the back, the interior cloth is yellowed from age with some stains but no holes or rips, the outside of the hat has the eagle buttons with a faded gold color band and an artillery hat insignia, the cloth is in very good to excellent condition, the bill has a very small amount of flaking but solid. The previous collector stated it was a WWI soldier’s dress uniform hat. I have had the hat in my collection for approximately 12 years. The Henderson Ames Company was formed in 1893 to 1923 and was one of the country’s leading producers of uniforms. The company produced military uniforms during World War I and continued into the 1920s. I have sold the majority of my WWI collection, besides this hat and a sword and my focus will continue on my Civil War collection. This hat is an original antique and in very good + condition for its age. This is your chance to own a piece of WWI history.
